Emmanuel Mutisya was educated in Kenya, Sweden and Japan. He studied Mathematics and Economics courses at Egerton University in Kenya, holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from Karlstad University in Sweden, Master of Arts in Public Administration from International Christian University in Japan and a Ph.D in Sustainability Science from the University of Tokyo.
