It is with great honour and pleasure that I preside over this 44th Graduation Ceremony of Egerton University.
Today's event is not only the day that marks the completion of your studies at Egerton University, but also the day we can celebrate your triumph at the end of an arduous academic journey marked by the serious disruption of Covid-19. You overcame this disruption with dignity, and I am sure you will move with the same grace to the next stage of your lives.
To everyone who provided encouragement, love and support to our graduands along the way, thank you.
Through the Egerton University Alumni Association (EUAA), you have now become part of the Egerton University Community for life. Be active members of EUAA, and this will help you while you are out there in the world as you help us empower and assist the students who will come after you.
When you are ready to deepen your skills, broaden your horizons, or change careers altogether, Egerton University will still be there and will be with you every step of the way should you decide to come back.
Until then, celebrate your success, be grateful for the support you have had from family and friends, and stay connected. I look forward to hearing news of your success, and I wish you all the very best for the future.
Once again, congratulations, and may there be a success at every turn of your life.
Go forth and conquer the world!
