Egerton University Alumnus, Prof. Emmanuel Mutisya Appointed as the Board Chairperson of GESCI, an International NGO, to spearhead the organization's growth in the education and skills development sub-sector.

Prof. Emmanuel Mutisya, PhD Chairperson, GESCI Board of Directors Egerton University Alumnus, Prof. Emmanuel Mutisya Appointed as the Board Chairperson of GESCI, an International NGO, to spearhead the organization's growth in the education and skills development sub-sector. Prof. Mutisya is a Long-term Consultant and Program Coordinator in the education and skills development sector at the African Development Bank. His expertise spans international development policy, project management, design of skills development programs, policy strategic planning, youth entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, higher education and research, and sustainability science. Prof. Mutisya offers a track record of designing, formulating, implementing and monitoring portfolios at country, regional and global level. GESCI is an international non-profit organisation founded on the recommendation of the United Nations Task Force on Information Communication Technology (ICT). It was established in 2003 at the first World Summit on the information society and runs programs on ICT and Stem education, digital skills, and youth entrepreneurship, leadership for sustainable development and teacher professional development among others. Egerton University Alumni Association was formed in February 1984 when former students of Egerton College got together and formed an organization. The association serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas amongst members, staff and students of Egerton University; it promotes the image and integrity of the University, as a quality institution of higher education and it engages the alumni and other stakeholders in the physical development of the university.
